In 2016 he founded his own company, Victrix Solutions, which developed a Telehealthcare Software Platform, sold to Careium AB in 2022. He is also European consultant to the UK-based Revolution-ZERO Surgical Medical Textiles company.

Joe’s original motivation for learning languages was to empathise and relate to people from different cultures, and these values he has applied to end users and to colleagues and employees throughout his career. He firmly believes that the key to successful implementation of new technologies means supporting the people who provide and use the services.

Israel's first consideration when preparing a new project is who the users are and who the service providers are. This may seem surprising for a highly qualified engineer, but his experience over the years has shown on numerous occasions that people are a much more important factor for success than technology itself.
